Valtteri Bottas wins Rallycircuit 2019

Rallycircuit 2019 ended this Sunday with the victory of Valtteri Bottas, entered at the wheel of a Citroën DS3 WRC, on the test drawn within the confines of the Paul Ricard route in Var.

The official driver Mercedes-AMG F1, winner of five special stages out of the nine on the program this weekend, won with a comfortable lead of 50″ over Robert Consani (Skoda Fabia R5) and 1’45” over Simon Gachet (Citroën C3 R5), two regulars of the GT scene, particularly in FFSAGT.

If Consani had struck first yesterday by signing the first scratch, Bottas had responded in the next four courses with three best times, taking 19″ at the end of the day after the ES Marathon.

At a similar pace, the Finn took the scratch this morning on the same Marathon sector before methodically widening the gap, particularly in the 7-lap Grand Prix sector.

Aligned with a Porsche 911, Stéphane Lefebvre put on a show and concluded Rallycircuit in 4th place at 1'48" and ahead of Dorian Boccolacci (Skoda Fabia R5) by two tenths. Thibault Durbec hoists his Citroën DS3 WRC into sixth position, two minutes behind.
