Towards a break for Kris Meeke?

Kris Meeke doesn't seem to be taking the route of WRC in 2020. The Northern Irishman, laid off by the Toyota Gazoo Racing, at the end of the 2019 campaign concluded in sixth place in the Drivers' championship, posted on its social networks Tuesday, December 10 a photo where it sits at the top of a snow-covered mountain with the following message:

“Goodbye for now WRC… Thank you Toyota Gazoo Racing. (It’s) time to explore other passions. Let’s see what 2020 brings…”

Replaced at the same time as Jari-Matti Latvala at Toyota to make way for a new trio composed of Sébastien Ogier, Elfyn Evans and Kalle Rovanperä, Kris Meeke is 40 years old, and won five WRC victories between 2015 and 2017 with Citroën.
