WRC – Bryan Bouffier returns to Hyundai

After participating in the development of the Hyundai i20 WRC last year and having won 2nd place in the Rally Monte-Carlo, Bryan Bouffier once again rejoins the list of drivers of the Alzenau structure. Although the three-time Polish Rally Champion will not compete in other WRC events, he will take part in testing sessions in preparation for the 2015 season and will be entered at the wheel of the i20 WRC at the Antibes Côte Rally. d'Azur, the fourth round of the French Rally Championship, in order to gain experience for the asphalt rounds at world level.

“I’m really happy to be part of the Hyundai Motorsport structure again.”, comments the Frenchman co-driven by Xavier Pansieri. “We had a great collaboration in 2013 and I’m excited to continue this year. I will participate in some development sessions and will do my best to prepare the team for 2015, bringing my experience and knowledge and providing the team with the most accurate feedback. I am also delighted to drive the Hyundai i20 WRC in the Antibes Rally which I won in 2006 and which I still enjoy every time. The objective is to accumulate driving on asphalt and give feedback to the team. »

Team Principal Michel Nandan has also never hidden the fact that discussions between Hyundai Motorsport and Bryan Bouffier continued this year. “We are happy to welcome Bryan back to the team after the superb work he did for us last year. We've been in contact for a while now and decided he deserved another chance. Its participation in the Antibes Côte d’Azur Rally will allow us to drive on asphalt and test certain elements planned for the second part of the season in a competitive environment rather than in a classic test session. »
