WRC – Spain: Ogier observes the fight between Latvala and Mikkelsen

Sébastien Ogier continues to manage its comfortable lead in Rally of Spain and observes with interest the duel between his teammates Jari-Matti Latvala and Andreas Mikkelsen for second place. The Norwegian took two seconds back from the Finn and is now only nine tenths behind the second Polo R WRC at the end of the first pass.

Dani sordo (Hyundai) is losing ground on the Volkswagens but the Spaniard remains in ambush to take advantage of a possible error by his opponents. Mads ostberg (Citroën) climbed into the top five with a lead of almost seven seconds over his teammate Chris Meeke who spun in SS19 (Pratdip, 19,3km). Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) was trapped in the same way and is now about ten seconds behind his teammate Hayden Paddon.

Martin Prokop (Ford) and Pontus Tidemand (Skoda Fabia R5) complete the top ten, the Swede remaining at the head of WRC2 with around fifteen seconds ahead of his teammate Jan Kopecky. Nasser Al-Attiyah (Fabia R5) took third place in the category following the stop of Eric Camilli (Fiesta R5). The Qatari could win the WRC2 title at the end of the Rally of Spain.

The second passage of the last stage of the Rally of Spain will be contested from 10:10 a.m. and will be followed in live text on AUTOhebdo.fr.
