WRC – Hopes already soared for Chardonnet

Sébastien Chardonnet quickly had to review his objectives Rally Monte Carlo. The Frenchman was trapped at the start of the event contested in formidable conditions with an icy road and variable grip. Within 21km of La Salle en Beaumont? Body, a slight drawback of the Citroën DS3 WRC was enough to force the crew to dismount. The PH Sport driver, however, has nothing to be ashamed of since Bryan Bouffier was also trapped in the first stage even though he had taken second place last year.

“It happened to me what has already happened to others, hit from the fifth turn! Surprised by a patch of ice under the snow, I hit a large stone on the right rear, on these very narrow roads that is not forgiving. The suspension triangle as well as the trailing rod broke completely, unable to repair we stopped at the finish of the first special stage., explained Sébastien Chardonnet.

Sébastien Chardonnet will continue the event despite everything in order to accumulate experience. “I will return to Rally2 to continue my learning of the WRC in these delicate conditions”, added the French pilot who will open the road for the second stage.
