The organizers of the Acropolis Rally have just published the entry list. 50 crews will start the event at the end of the month.

WRC – The entry list for the Acropolis Rally

Le Rally of the Acropolis contested from May 31 to June 2, sixth event of season 213 of the WRC, will have 50 cars entered in the three WRC categories as well as the Junior WRC. Sébastien Ogier, winner of the 2011 edition, will try to score a fourth success to further extend its already comfortable lead at the top of the Championship. Jari-Matti Latvala et Andreas Mikkelsen will also be present to defend the colors of Volkswagen.

Mikko Hirvonen, the only other winner of this event present this year, will be accompanied by Dani sordo, While Khalid al qassimi will field a third Citroën DS3 WRC at the start. Qatar WRT will once again be well represented with Mads ostberg, Evgeny Novikov et Thierry Neuville et Gabriel Pozzo already present in Argentina. Nasser Al-Attiyah who returns after having signed two top five finishes in Mexico and Portugal. The Mini JCW WRC Michal Kosciuszko and the Ford Fiesta RS WRC of Martin Prokop will complete the WRC list which will only have 13 competitors.

The WRC2 list will, however, be more extensive with 17 crews registered for the next event of the discipline. Robert Kubica will be back on his Citroën DS3 RRC. The Pole will have to be wary of the Fiesta RRC of Yurii Protasov and Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari, the last winner of the category in Argentina, and the Fiesta S2000 of Oleksii Tamrazov. Nicolas Fuchs will also be back on his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X. Of the ten other crews registered outside the category, seven will be Greek. The J WRC will also be on the trip with ten crews including the favorites Pontus Tidemand and Jose Antonio Suarez.
