After the zero point in Portugal, it's the same in Sardinia for M-Sport. From the second special stage on Friday morning, on the Sardinian roads, the three Ford Puma Rally1s of Grégoire Munster, Josh McErlean and Mārtiņš Sesks made mistakes. This ended all hopes of a good result too quickly.

So, this weekend, for the Rally of the Acropolis, the third consecutive on earth this season, the British team, which had no less than eight successes between the end of the 90s and the beginning of the 2000s on these same Greek roads, does not set itself any real objective, if not "a positive performance".

Aside from Munster (and his co-driver Louis Louka), for whom this will be his fourth consecutive participation, McErlean will be traveling to Greece for the second time, while Sesks will be new to the event, which combines rugged mountain roads and sweltering temperatures. This makes it one of the most challenging events of the season, for both men and machines.

M-Sport does not want to make any more mistakes

It's also worth noting that Jourdan Serderidis will complete the M-Sport quartet, also driving a Puma Rally1, and will be competing in his home rally for the eighth time. In any case, Richard Millener's main goal is to avoid any pitfalls and finally score some more points in the championship.

"The Acropolis Rally is undoubtedly one of the toughest events in the championship. I expect the week to be full of challenges! We're expecting scorching temperatures and the stage conditions should be as tough as ever.", the team director said in a press release.

“Both Gregoire and Josh had a complicated Rally Sardinia, so the goal is to have a clean race and avoid any problems to bring home a good result. Mārtiņš will be making his debut in Greece and will not hesitate to ask his teammates for advice on how to approach this tricky event.”, assures the boss of M-Sport.
