WRC – A tasteless victory for Ogier

Sébastien Ogier (Volkswagen) scored an eighth victory this season by winning Wales Rally GB after dominating a large part of the event. The three-time world champion won in front Chris Meeke (Citroen) and Andreas Mikkelsen (Volkswagen). “This victory is the best way to end the season, but there is no celebration to be had today. We have other things in mind. This weekend was very difficult”, declared the Frenchman who presented the tricolor flag on arrival.

Citroën Racing takes second place in the Manufacturers' Championship before Hyundai, the i20 WRC de Dani sordo et Hayden Paddon completing the top five. The New Zealander retained fifth place with an eight-second lead over Elfyn Evans (Ford). Mads ostberg (Citroën) takes seventh position ahead Stéphane Lefebvre (Citroen) and Robert Kubica (Ford). Lorenzo Bertelli (Ford) completes the top ten.

Teemu Suninen (Skoda Fabia S2000) snatched victory in WRC 2 from Éric Camilli (Fiesta R5) who finished 19 seconds behind the Finn following engine problems. After the JWRC, Quentin Gilbert won the WRC 3 title with his third place.
