2019-2020: Thomas Laurent reservist for Toyota Gazoo Racing

Second of 24 Hours of Le Mans 2017 and winner of LM P2 under the colors of Jackie Chan DC Racing, third last year – first LM P1 Non-Hybrid – with Rebellion Racing, Thomas Laurent is considered one of the great hopes of theEndurance.

According to our information, Toyota would have already grabbed hold of him, by enlisting him next season as a reserve. This would only be deserved as the Vendéen has been without praise since his arrival in the discipline, he who can also boast of having been crowned KZ2 world champion in Karting in 2015 at Le Mans, to have won the 2016 edition of Road to Le Mans in a Ligier JS P3 and to have taken the crown of Asian Le Mans Series champion in an Oreca 05, at the end of the 2017 campaign- 2018, each time with the DC Racing dear to David Cheng.

As a reminder, the young Vendéen made a strong impression in December 2017, when he took the wheel of the TS050 Hybrid during the Rookie Tests in Bahrain. The Japanese manufacturer has apparently not forgotten this.

Current third in the 2018-2019 Super Season WEC, Thomas Laurent will participate on June 15 and 16 in his third 24 Hours of Le Mans, in the No. 13 Rebellion R3 of Rebellion Racing, which he shares with Nathanaël Berthon and Gustavo Menezes, with the ambition of securing a third podium in so many departures.
