Having been involved in an accident during the Test Day, the No. 8 Toyota is expected to return to the track this afternoon.

Ryo Hirakawa was powerless, as he explained to his team, when Jake Hughes' car spun out at the Dunlop Chicane. Toyota No. 8 was hit on the left side by the Oreca 07, and while visually impressive, the damage should not prevent the Japanese marque from racking up laps in the afternoon.

The Japanese manufacturer has indeed confirmed that the Hirakawa car, Sébastien Buemi et Brendon Hartley The car had not sustained any "critical" damage and was therefore able to return to the track in the afternoon for the second practice session, which ran from 15:30 PM to 18:30 PM. The left sidepod and the left section of the rear wing had been touched by the Oreca, which also escaped major damage.
