Double winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona (1998 and 2002), champion Indy Light 1987 and Grand Am 2002, winner at Sebring in 1998 and at the 24 Hours of Spa 1987 (on BMW), third at Le Mans in 1999, Audi official driver at the beginning of the R8 adventure, Didier Theys, native of Nivelles but long established in Scottsdale (Arizona) has decided to put an end to his career as a professional driver. Now aged 52, he has decided to put his experience at the service of individuals in a flying school which he runs. His decision is a logical continuation of the decision of the Horag team, with which he had been linked for several seasons, not to participate in the Le Mans Series due to not being able to find the necessary budget.
