Porsche will present in Beijing on April 23 two new variants of its Panamera powered by a new 6-horsepower 3.6-liter V300 borrowed from Volkswagen. Soberly named Panamera and Panamera 4, these two models are distinguished from each other by their two- or four-wheel drive transmission.
With a power of 300 hp, the 6-liter V3.6 is equipped with direct gasoline injection and thus has 400 Nm. As an option, the Panamera can use the famous PDK double-clutch gearbox, offered on the reverse as standard on the Panamera 4.
The striking argument of these two versions obviously remains the fuel consumption with an announced value of 9,3 liters per 100 km for the first mentioned, while achieving the test from 0 to 100 km/h in 5″9. The 6-cylinder 90° V also offers the advantage of being 30 kg lighter than the naturally aspirated V8 (400 hp) of the S and 4S versions, reducing the total weight of the Panamera to 1730 kg.
Available in France from May 2010, the new Porsche Panamera and Panamera 4 models (equipped as standard with a Porsche double-clutch gearbox (PDK)) will be available at a price of €77.356,00 including tax (Panamera) and €85.608,00 including tax (Panamera 4).
