The Portuguese driver of the Seat Leon TDi in the WTCC took part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans at the wheel of the No. 01 Oreca 10 AIM (LMP1). For Tiago Monteiro, this discovery changed his vision of the Sarthe race:
« The most difficult thing at Le Mans is the speed of the car. This creates complications in terms of pure piloting but also with regard to traffic management. A professional pilot knows how to adapt to these kinds of conditions but visually, it's complicated. When I came behind the wheel of a Viper a few years ago at Le Mans, I didn't realize that the GT cars were that slow compared to the ??protos??? »
