VIDEO – Head upside down before shootout pole for Max Verstappen

Max Verstappen is a happy man. Firstly because he is a three-time reigning world champion, but also because he won pole position in the sprint race at the United States Grand Prix this Saturday. The Dutchman was indeed ahead Charles Leclerc et Lewis Hamilton by less than a tenth, at the end of a fiercely contested session.

However, he could have lost everything in SQ2. While trying to improve his mark in the final moments of the session, Max Verstappen lost his car at turn 9, ending up in a spin. After performing a sun without touching anything, the Batavian recovered magnificently and set off again as if nothing had happened. That’s also the class of a world champion!

To follow, this Saturday evening at midnight, the sprint race of the United States Grand Prix, with the Dutchman in pole position.
