Kyle LeDuc, off-road racing legend and former Extreme E driver, has died of cancer at the age of 41.

Off-road racing legend Kyle LeDuc dies

This is sad news that affects the world of off-road racing: Kyle LeDuc died this Saturday, at the age of 41. The American had been battling head and neck cancer since November 2022: he made his diagnosis public in early June when he said he would not participate in the 2023 season to focus on his recovery .

In a statement released today, the organizers of the Championship Off-Road said: “It is with extremely heavy hearts that we share the news that seven-time Pro 4 champion Kyle LeDuc has passed away after a year-long battle with cancer. LeDuc remains a legend in the off-road world and one of the most successful drivers in short circuit history, including the Championship Off-Road Pro 4 title in 2020. He was a passionate champion and an intense competitor whose infectious energy will be missed on and off the track. Our thoughts and prayers are with the LeDuc family and the entire Kyle LeDuc 99 Racing team. »

During his career, Kyle LeDuc won seven Pro 4 championships – six in the Off Road Racing Series and one in the Championship Off-Road series, as well as two titles in Pro Lite, three in the Road Racing Series Challenge, two Pro World Championships. 4 and two Driver of the Year titles. In total, he achieved more than 100 victories.
