Ford isn't done with Pikes Peak. And it's with great ambition that the oval-shaped manufacturer will tackle the world's most famous hillclimb on June 22nd. Thus, the American firm is continuing its collaboration with Romain Dumas, who will be seeking a sixth victory in Colorado in a few weeks.

This Friday, May 30, on its social networks, Ford unveiled the car that the Frenchman will drive: a Mustang Mach-E. This model, specially prepared for the event, is distinguished in particular by its "its 2 kg of aerodynamic support", depending on the brand.

Romain Dumas is eager to discover his “new beast”
So we can expect things to move very quickly once again as the manufacturer puts its crown back on the line after last year's victory thanks to Romain Dumas. In 2024, the Gard native climbed the 20-kilometer climb in 8:53 at the wheel of the F-563 Lightning SuperTruck.
In 2023, the Frenchman had already taken part in the Detroit firm's project at Pikes Peak with the SuperVan 4.2 but was unable to prevent Robin Shute's victory for the third consecutive year on his Wolf TSC-FS-Honda.

Finally, as a reminder, Romain Dumas, five-time winner at Pikes Peak, holds the record for the fastest climb: 7'57"148. This was in 2018 with the Volkswagen IDR
