Cycling and motorsport fans must have been happy to see that their two passions will be united at the 83rd edition of Paris-Nice (March 9-16). Indeed, the Race to the Sun will pass through the Magny-Cours circuit during the third stage.
This is a 25,4-kilometer team time trial that will take place on Tuesday, March 11 between the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours and the city center of Nevers. A race in which the Dane Jonas Vingegaard, double winner of the Tour de France (2022, 2023) and runner-up to Tadej Pogacar in the last edition of the Grande Boucle, will take part.
It should be noted that this is not the first track to host a major cycling race. Indeed, the circuits have often been surveyed by the pelotons, notably during the Tour de France, such as Nogaro in 2023, Dijon-Prenois or the Bugatti Circuit in Le Mans. Beyond the borders, Spa-Francorchamps and Monaco have also had this opportunity in the past.
