The modified Dakar 2023 route

The rains of recent days having flooded the site planned for the installation of the Al Duwadimi bivouac (Saudi Arabia), the Dakar caravan will not be able to be accommodated there for the stay planned there. The sporting program for stages 6 and 7 has been modified accordingly by the Dakar organization.

For the day of January 6, the 6th stage will be contested on the special initially planned, with a mileage reduced by around a hundred kilometers. The pilots and crews will then travel in liaison (around 300 kilometers) to the bivouac in Riyadh.

The next day, January 7, the competitors will decide between themselves on the route of the special initially planned for the 8th stage (Al Duwadimi > Riyadh). At the end of this special, if the weather conditions prove favorable, the caravan will return to the Al Duwadimi bivouac.

For January 8, arrangements will be made depending on weather conditions.
