The figures to remember from the 2022 Dakar

At the end of technical and administrative checks, the official lists of starters for the Dakar 2022 are made up of 409 vehicles in the race, including 144 motorcycles, 20 quads, 87 cars registered in T1, 2 in T2, 48 T3 “Proto-light”, 47 T4 SSV, 56 trucks and finally 5 vehicles in the Open category. At their helm, 206 competitors will participate in the Dakar for the first time, while 121 “Legend” pilots and co-pilots will show up for the 10^e times or more. The female contingent has also increased significantly with 28 participants, including 3 100% female crews. On the podium of the nationalities represented, France dominates with 170 entries, ahead of Spain (74) and the Netherlands (64).

Every evening at the bivouac, they will be joined by the 142 vehicles participating in the 2^e edition of the Dakar Classic alone making up a caravan of 301 competitors.
