Every year, it is one of the emblematic events for motorsport purists. The Pikes Peak hill climb will return on June 22, 2025 – one week after the 24H of Le Mans – for the 103rd edition of the centennial event. The organizers unveiled this Thursday the first list of participants for this 2025 edition, with no fewer than 76 participants registered. A nice increase compared to the number of participants in 2024 (61 participants). Competitors representing fifteen countries are preparing to cover the 12,42 miles (or 19,98 kilometers) that separate them from the summit of Pikes Peak, near the city of Colorado Springs.

Unsurprisingly, we will find some of the big names in this event, such as former winners Robin Shute, Clint Vahsholtz and David Donner, and of course Romain Dumas. The Alésien, four-time winner of Pikes Peak and defending champion, will try to secure a fifth victory with Ford. The Tricolore will be racing in the Open category. In addition to Romain Dumas, three other Frenchmen will be at the start of Pikes Peak on June 22: Ludovic Gherardi (Porsche 911 GT3 RS from 2011) in the Time Attack category, as well as Grégoire Blachon (Volkswagen Fun Cup EV from 2024) and Éric Moineau (Caterham SevenS3 from 2019) in the Unlimited category.
