Jean Todt to receive award at Rétromobile

The former FIA boss will be honoured at the Parisian Rétromobile show (5-9 February), where he will receive the Heritage Hall of Fame Award, presented by the Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens (FIVA).

Jean Todt to receive award at Rétromobile

A legend will be honored. Jean Todt will be at Rétromobile next week to receive an award from the International Federation of Vintage Vehicles (FIVA). The former boss of Ferrari, described as “a remarkable personality with an exceptional career” will be decorated then of a ceremony organized on Thursday, February 6 at 17:30 p.m. The native of Pierrefort (Cantal) will receive the Heritage Hall Of Fame Award, given to people who have had "a significant impact in the automotive world." The ceremony will take place on the stand of the FFVE, the French Federation of Vintage Vehicles, present every year at the show.

“Meeting collectors at car shows or events is fundamental for the FFVE, it creates strong links.”explains Jean-Louis Blanc, President of the FFVE. "Uniting, preserving and transmitting automotive heritage and culture are the keys to our mission. We have created around ten programs and commissions to promote collector vehicles. The welcome from the public, whether they are collectors or not, is always very warm. We want to give a dynamic image and interest a young audience who are the collectors of tomorrow. Our presence at Rétromobile is a time for exchange."

The FFVE will present iconic models such as a 1974 Stutz Blackhawk, the first model of which was purchased by Elvis Presley, and a 120 Triumph T1969 "Bonneville" motorcycle. Several conferences will also be organized on themes such as "Buying and registering a vintage vehicle in a collection" or "Maintaining, assessing and restoring your vintage vehicle."

The FFVE stand will be located in Hall 1 of the Parc des Expositions de Paris Porte de Versailles at location F084. It will be accessible from 10am to 22pm on Wednesday 5 and Friday 7 February and from 10am to 19pm on Thursday 6, Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 February.
