Juan-Pablo Montoya set the best time in the first free practice session for the 24 Hours of Daytona. The driver of the No. 01 Chip Ganassi Racing BMW-Riley completed the lap of the Florida circuit in 1'40"937. The #60 Ford-Riley of Michael Shank Racing driven by AJ Allmendinger is the closest, albeit a second behind, while the #42 BMW-Riley of Team Sahlen driven by Cameron-Nonnamaker-Pagenaud completes the top three.
