24 Hours of Daytona – G-Drive Racing unveils its drivers

On the occasion of the inaugural round of the next season in IMSA, G-Drive Racing has revealed its eight drivers who will take part in the 24 Hours of Daytona in LMP2. The Russian team will have two Oreca 07s on the starting grid the weekend of January 29. In the first car #68, there will be René Rast, three-time champion DTM, Ed Jones, François Heriau and Oliver Rasmussen, straight from the F3 and who will have their first experience in Endurance

The second car #69 will be driven by John Falb, crowned in ELMS this season in the LMP2 category, Luca Ghiotto, James Allen and Tijmen van der Helm who was also in Formula 3 and will be racing for the first time in an Endurance race. 

Roman Rusinov, team director, displays his ambitions for the coming season. “We continue to actively prepare for the 2022 season, which will be very eventful for our team. It will begin abroad with the legendary 24-hour endurance race at Daytona. G-Drive Racing has been the most successful team in LMP2 over the past decade, so interest in our first participation in the 24 Hours of Daytona is very high. As always, we approached the choice of drivers carefully, and I believe we have assembled the best possible team, which is a mixture of youth and experience. »
