The No. 10 Cadillac DPi-VR of Wayne Taylor Racing is still in the lead four hours before the finish of the 24 Hours of Daytona with track conditions which have clearly improved. While the race was once again neutralized under Full Course Yellow after the No. 09 Oreca FLM8 stopped on track, Jordan Taylor regained first place after the pit stops which had propelled the Multimatic-Riley Mk.30 Gibson of VisitFlorida Racing was at the forefront for a time.

Taylor has less than 10″ lead over Christian Fittipaldi (Cadillac DPi-VR n°5 – Action Express Racing). Note that the No. 24 Mazda RT55-P of Spencer Pigot returned to the pits with the start of a fire, which was however quickly brought under control.

In GTLM, James Calado and Ferrari are in control of the category with the #488 Risi Competizione 62 in the lead just ahead of the #66 Ford GT of Joey Hand. Antonio Garcia completes the provisional podium with the No. 7 Corvette C3.R.

The No. 09 Oreca FLM38 of Performance Tech Motorsports continues its solo lead in the PC category, when Acura and Michael Shank Racing returned to first position in GTD with the No. 93 NSX of Andy Lally, which precedes the Mercedes-AMG GT3 n°33 from Mario Farnbacher's Riley Motorsports.
