24H. of Daytona – WeatherTech Racing enters with a Porsche and a Mercedes
WeatherTech Racing is seeing double at the start of 2022. For the 55th edition of the 24 Hours of Daytona (January 29-30), the American team plans to enter two cars with a Mercedes-AMG GT3 (N°97) et une Porsche 911 GT3 R (N°79) dans la catégorie GTD Pro appliquant désormais le règlement GT3.
Cooper MacNeil will also see double since he will compete in the Florida classic in both cars! On the No. 97, he will be accompanied by Maro Engel, Jules Gounon and Daniel Juncadella while he will be supported by Matteo Cairoli, Alessio Picariello and Julien Andlauer on the No. 79.
The latter will also be Cooper MacNeil's teammate throughout the 2021 season.IMSA. Together, the two men will contest all the other rounds of the North American championship campaign with the Porsche 911 GT3 RN°79 still in GTD Pro.
