26 cars for the sprint round at Bowmanville

For the first time since 2019, IMSA will make its return to Bowmanville (Ontario, Canada) at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for the eighth round of its season, this Sunday, July 3. Just one week after the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen, where Wayne Taylor Racing won ahead of Meyer Shank Racing for an Acura double.

The DPi will be back for this sprint race lasting 2 hours 40 minutes, but without the No. 48 Ally Racing Cadillac. 20 other cars will be entered in three categories (LM P3, GTD Pro, GTD), since the LM P2 will not be involved. A car on the start list will not participate in this event, the Porsche 911 GT3R from Wright Motorsports, due to non-vaccination against Covid-19 of Ryan Hardwick, one of its drivers, as well as other members of the team.
