4H of Barcelona - H+1: VDS Panis Racing ahead of Algarve

After a quarter of the race in Catalonia, it is the Oreca 07 n°48 of the VDS Panis Racing team which occupies the first position of the 4 Hours of Barcelona ahead of Algarve Pro Racing.

The start of the 4 Hours of Barcelona, the opening round of the 2025 European season Le Mans Series, was given at 12:00 this Sunday. Francesco Simonazzi retained the lead at the start for Duqueine ahead of Jakub Smiechowski of the Inter Europol Competition team.
Teammate of Theo Pourchaire At Algarve Pro Racing, Matthias Kaiser made a good start to move from 7th to 4th place.
Second on the grid, the No. 9 Oreca of the Iron Lynx – Proton team returned to its garage after 45 minutes of racing due to a breakdown. The VDS Panis Racing team of Oliver Gray, Esteban Masson and Charles Milesi took the lead of the race during the first pit stops.
After a great start, but punished with a penalty for being considered early, DKR Engineering leads the LM P2 Pro-Am through Laurents Hörr.
In LM P3, it is the Duqueine D09 – Toyota n°12 of WTM by Rinaldi Racing of Torsten Kratz, Leonard Weiss and Griffin Peebles which appears in first position.
In GT3, Célia Martin dispossessed poleman Martin Berry (Iron Lynx) of first place to allow the Porsche No. 85 of the Iron Dames to lead her category at the end of the first hour.
