If John Martin distinguished himself by taking pole in the LMP2 category with the ADR Delta Oreca 03-Nissan, the other Oreca are further behind, in particular because of the particularly tight gaps. Signatech only takes 12th and 14th positions. Boutsen Ginion Racing is doing a little better with ninth place while Murphy Prototypes is content with 11th position. Warren Hughes, driver of the No. 48 with Jody Firth and Brendon Hartley, admits that he is disappointed with the position obtained. “The result does not reflect our level of performance”, explains the British pilot. “We can still improve the settings, but overall we have a high-performance, consistent bike that doesn't damage the tires. For racing, these are important assets. Drivers, team and car: we have a solid package to achieve a good result. It will be necessary to have an uneventful race. »
