Bowmanville – EL1: Blomqvist and Bourdais tied!
No rest in IMSA, barely recovered from their emotions of Watkins Glen as most of the entrants in the North American championship ofEndurance continue with Bowmanville this weekend. On the Canadian track, where only the LM P2s were not invited, the differences have never been so minimal this season quite simply because Tom Blomqvist on the No. 60 Acura DPi from Meyer Shank Racing and Sébastien Bourdais on the No. 01 Cadillac DPi finished the session in the same thousandth! Earl Bamber completed the podium in this session contested in strong heat with the No. 02 Cadillac DPi at 0.181 seconds.

In LM P3, Garett Grist was the fastest in the Jr III Racing Ligier JS P320 in 1:12.245. He led a quadruplet for the French manufacturer in this category.
Daniel Juncadella set the best lap in GTD Pro with the Mercedes-AMG GT3 n°79 of WeatherTech Racing in 1:16.520, ahead of Frenchman Mathieu Jaminet of Pfaff Motorsports at 0.397 seconds. Frank Montecalvo beat the rest of the GTDs in the No. 3 Lexus RC F GT12 of VasserSullivan in 1:16.927.
