THEIMSA has appointed Chip Ganassi as Grand Marshal for the 24 Hours of Daytona (Florida) held on January 27 and 28. The boss of the team of the same name notably saw his team win the GTLM category last year with the Ford GT entrusted to Sébastien Bourdais, Dirk Müller and Joey Hand.
“It’s a great honor to be recognized at a race that means so much to me, both as a driver and as an owner., comments Chip Ganassi. The 24 Hours of Daytona is one of the most important races. There are so many great cars, fantastic drivers and manufacturers that make this event unique. It requires so much work and great coordination to reach the “Victory Lane” that there is no greater happiness once it is achieved. »
