Dane Cameron placed the No. 05 Acura ARX-6 DPi – Acura Team Penske at the top of the order after Friday's two free practice sessions at the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen in IMSA.
Cameron completed the best lap of the day in 1'30″014 in EL2, more than six tenths ahead of the benchmark set in EL1 by Harry Tincknell (Mazda RT24-P n°55 – Mazda Team Joest) in 1'30 ″690.
En GTLM, Ford Chip Ganassi Racing a dominé les deux séances grâce à Richard Westbrook, aligné sur la Ford GT n°67. Le pilote de la voiture à l’ovale bleu a établi le meilleur temps absolu de la journée dans la catégorie en EL2, en 1’42″321. A noter qu’une vibration a perturbé les EL1 de la Porsche 911 RSR n°911 de Pilet – Tandy.
Lamborghini and Magnus Racing took the lead in GTD, with the best time to go to Spencer Pumpelly in the No. 3 Huracan GT44 Evo, in 1’45”835.
