While the No. 5 Corvette DP was still on the lap of leader Max Angelelli (Wayne Taylor Racing) 3h30 from the finish of the 24 Hours of Daytona (Florida), Filipe Albuquerque had to return to the garage following a mechanical problem.

Johannes van Overbeek continues to pursue the leading car in his No. 2 ESM Ligier JS P2, ahead of the No. 90 Visitflorida Racing of Marc Goossens by a handful of seconds.

Mike Rockenfeller retains the GTLM lead in the No. 3 Corvette, but Marcel Fässler's No. 4 sister car received a stop & go for leaving the pits illegally. There Ferrari n°68 de Daniel Serra et la Porsche n°912 de Michael Christensen complètent le nouveau podium provisoire de la catégorie.
