Best time in the first free practice session for the 24 Hours of Daytona, third in the second, the Chip Ganassi Racing Cadillac is definitely in great spirits. The DPi-VR n°01 of Magnussen-Van der Zande-Dixon indeed dominated the third session, thanks to a lap completed in 1'34"146.
This evening she is ahead of the No. 05 Acura ARX-10 from Wayne Taylor Racing by 0 seconds and the No. 313 DPi-VR from Action Express Racing by 31 seconds. Two other Cadillacs follow, the No. 0 from JDC-Miller Motorsports and the No. 507, jointly fielded by Action Express Racing and Hendrick Motorsports.
In LM P2, the No. 07 Oreca 52 from PR1/Mathiasen Motorports continues to dominate the competition, as does the No. 8 Corvette C4.R in GTLM.
Finally, in LM P3 and GTD, the reference brand is to the credit of the No. 320 Ligier JS P91 from Riley Motorsports and the No. 3 Lamborghini Huracan GT111 from the Grasser Racing Team.
