Daytona – EL4: Duval makes JDC-Miller shine

The No. 5 JDC-Miller Motorsports Cadillac DPi-VR climbed to the top of the timesheet in this final test session before the big start. Loïc duval set the best time in 1'35"085 aboard this prototype shared with two other French drivers: Tristan Vautier and Sébastien Bourdais.

Kevin Magnussen, supported by Renger van der Zande, Scott Dixon and Marcus Ericsson, finished 2nd at the wheel of the No. 01 Cadillac DPi-VR of Chip Ganassi Racing. The Dane drove just 12 thousandths behind Loïc Duval. Third at the finish, the No. 24 Mazda RT55-P only completed five laps, still finishing less than a tenth from the lead.

In LMP2, the No. 07 Oreca 9 from Tower Motorsport dominated the proceedings with a time of 1'36"448. In LMP3, the session saw the No. 320 Riley Motorsports Ligier JS P91 record the best time in 1'43.

La Ferrari 488 GTE No. 62 of the Risi Competizione was the strongest in the GTLM category. She completed her fastest lap 1'42"584 while in GTD it was the No. 3 Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini Huracan GT19 which finished first with a mark of 1'45"583.

The start of the 59th edition of the 24 Hours of Daytona will be given this Saturday, January 30 at 21:40 p.m. (French time).
