Sébastien’s Starworks Motorsport #2 Ford-Riley Bourdais, Allan McNish, Ryan Dalziel and Alex Popow remained in sixth place before encountering a brake problem forcing Allan McNish to pit with less than two hours to go. Scott Pruett still leads the race in the No. 01 Chip Ganassi Racing BMW-Riley with nearly 30 seconds ahead of the No. 60 Michael Shank Racing Ford-Riley of Marcos Ambrose. Max Angelelli completes the leading trio in the No. 10 VelocityWW Corvette DP just ahead of the No. 9 Action Express Racing Corvette DP driven by Mike Rockenfeller.

Nicolas Armindo reste en tête des GT au volant de la Porsche n°44 du Magnus Racing avec une poignée de secondes d’avance sur la Ferrari 458 from AIM Autosport Team driven by Anthony Lazzaro. René Rast is third, less than 30 seconds behind, in the No. 8 APR Motorsport Audi R52.
