The first qualifying session of the 2025 European Championship season Le Mans Series has delivered its verdict. Inter Europol Competition was expected to win after dominating the Prologue and Free Practice, but the Polish team failed to confirm its dominance in the timed lap, despite a fine third place for Tom Dillmann.

Pole position went to another Frenchman, Reshad de Gerus (Duqueine Team), who set the fastest lap in 1:27.664. De Gerus beat Matteo Cairoli (Iron Lynx – Proton) by 0.166 seconds. A great performance for the driver from Réunion, who beat an extremely strong field this Saturday in Catalonia.

Tom Blomqvist thus failed to reach the podium for CLX – Pure Rxcing, ahead of Mathys Jaubert (IDEC Sport), Charles Milesi (VDS Panis Racing) and Theo Pourchaire (Algarve Pro Racing), seventh for his first qualifications in EnduranceExpected to be at the top of the standings with Ferdinand Habsburg and Filipe Albuquerque in its crew, the Nielsen Racing team disappointed with the Portuguese driver's last place.

Earlier, the LM P2 Pro-Am session was interrupted by a red flag with just over six minutes remaining after Georgios Kolovos (DKR Engineering) and Rodrigo Sales (TDS Racing) both went off the track.

As usual, Giorgio Roda (Proton) was the fastest in this specific classification. The Italian set his best lap in 1:31.110, 0.239 seconds ahead of PJ Hyett (AO by TF).

In LM P3, Adrien Closmenil took pole position for the CLX Motorsport team. The Frenchman set the benchmark time of 1:36.188 at the wheel of the Ligier JS P325 – Toyota n ° 17.

La Mercedes-AMG GT3 No. 63 of the Iron Lynx team will start from pole position this Sunday in Barcelona. Martin Berry was the fastest in this category with a best lap of 1:42.257. He beat Frenchwoman Célia Martin. The Iron Dames driver finished just 0.187 seconds off first place in the Porsche 911 GT3 R n°85.

Another Frenchman completed the podium in the person of Clément Mateu on theAston Martin Vantage No. 59 of Racing Spirit of Léman. Teammate of Lilou Wadoux, Custodio Toledo placed first Ferrari 296, the n°50 of the Richard Mille AF Corse team, in fourth position.
