Aged 88, Bob Bondurant died on November 12 in Phoenix, Arizona. A great figure in motorsport on the other side of the Atlantic, he participated four times in the 24 Hours of Le Mans from 1964 to 1967 for a 4th place overall as best result with Dan Gurney driving a Shelby Cobra Daytona.
Bob Bondurant also tried his hand at Formula 1 during his career. He indeed participated in 9 Grands Prix during the 1965 and 1966 seasons with the North American Racing Team, Reg Parnell Racing, Team Chamaco Collect and Anglo American Racers.
