Winner of 24 Hours of Le Mans en juin dernier sur la Porsche 919 Hybrid au côté de Nico Hulkenberg and Nick Tandy, Earl Bamber will return to the World ChampionshipEndurance in just over a week at the Nürburgring. The New Zealander will be fielded in GTE Am in the No. 911 Abu Dhabi-Proton Racing Porsche 88 RSR, replacing the Austrian Klaus Bachler, held back by his obligations in ADAC GT Masters.
Bamber will meet Christian Reid and Khaled Al Qubaisi there, and will also be entered in Austin (Texas) for the Lone Star Le Mans (September 17-19) before Bachler returns to business for the last three rounds of the season.
