Technology equivalence in WEC

The FIA ​​World Council has announced the implementation of Technology Equivalence for LMP1 which will be carried out in two stages. A first period will be effective until the next 24 Hours of Le Mans during which manufacturers will have to send their telemetry data to the FIA ​​(this month and in February). The data will be measured again after the Le Mans event. The balance of performance will be re-evaluated until the 24 2015 Hours of Le Mans. In addition, a new Trophy Endurance FIA will reward the drivers of the best private LMP1 team if the category has at least three cars. Furthermore, the ACO and the representatives will work together next year to harmonize the categorization of GT drivers between the WEC and the GT Series.
