Starting from pole position in the second round of the 2013 Grand-Am, the Gainsco / Bob Stallings Racing Corvette DP confirmed in the race. John Fogarty and Alex Gurney took victory at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin. The two men owe their salvation to fate having fallen on Brendon Hartley (Riley-Ford Starworks Motorsport). While the young New Zealander was heading towards a first victory in the discipline, he was forced to stop after coming into contact with a GT. The podium is, ultimately, completed by the Riley-Ford Starworks Motorsport of Ryan Dalziel-Alex Popow and by the Riley-BMW of the outgoing champions, namely the duo Scott Pruett-Memo Rojas.
At the foot of the podium, we find the Corvette DP 8Star Motorsports that Frenchman Stéphane Sarrazin shares with Enzo Potolicchio.
In GT, victory went to the Turner Motorsport BMW M3 of Bill Auberlen and Paul Dalla Lana.
