IMSA – Action Express leads the tests

Action Express Racing dominated the first day of testing for the Lone Star Le Mans contested on the Circuit of the Americas in Austin (Texas). Dane Cameron set the best time at the wheel of the No. 31 Corvette DP with a lap completed in 1'58''139, six tenths ahead of the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing driven by Jordan Taylor and the No. 90 of Ryan Dalziel's VisitFlorida Racing. Joao Barbosa placed Action Express' second DP in fourth place, almost seven tenths off the benchmark.

Richard Westbrook set the best GTLM time with a time of 2'04''360 signed with the No. 67 Ford GT which preceded the lap by four tenths. Ferrari 488 n°62 of the Risi Competizione driven by Giancarlo Fisichella. Tom Kimber-Smith remained the fastest in PC with a time of 2'01''131 signed in the #52 PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports during the first session. The same goes for Jens Klingmann who completed the Texan circuit in 2'08''075 in the No. 6 Turner Motorsport BMW M96.
