Iron Lynx changes the entire crew of one of its Mercedes

Iron Lynx disrupts his plans. While the 24 Hours of Le Mans, will take place in just over a week, the Italian team has decided to change the entire crew of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 n°60 for the Sarthe classic, but also for the rest of the World Championship seasonEndurance.

This decision follows a physical problem affecting Claudio Schiavoni. The Italian driver had already withdrawn from the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, the previous round on the calendar, and is unable to take the wheel at La Sarthe, nor for the 6 Hours of São Paulo on July 13.

Following Schiavoni's withdrawal, the entire lineup has been reshuffled. Matteo Cressoni and Matteo Cairoli will also not be at the start of the Le Mans race. The new trio will be composed of Andrew Gilbert (Bronze), Fran Rueda, and Lorcan Hanafin.

« We welcome Andrew, Fran and Lorcan to our FIA team WECDsays Andrea Piccini, team principal of Iron Lynx. We look forward to working with them at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and for the final part of the season. I believe they will integrate very quickly into the team and we hope to offer them the best possible experience for their Le Mans debut. On the other hand, we are very grateful to Claudio for allowing us to seek stability for the end of the year with a consistent line-up. We hope to see him back on track as soon as possible and for him to support us at Le Mans. We believe this continuity will be beneficial, both for a strong finish to the season and for preparing for 2026. »

The crews of the other two Mercedes entered by Iron Lynx remain unchanged. Martin Berry, Lin Hodenius and Maxime Martin will continue to drive together in the No. 61, while the father-son duo of Stephen and Brenton Whole grained will still team up with Luca Stolz in the No. 63.
