Previously Motorsports Director of Mazda North America, who managed with Team Joest the RT24-P DPi entry this year, John Doonan was offered the position of President of theIMSA, following the retirement of Scott Atherton.
Doonan will actually take up his duties on January 1, 2020, but will be in action in the offices of the American promoter from next Monday.
