The officials of theIMSA have unveiled a new Performance Balance before testing at Sebring (Florida), the track which will host the second round of the championship on March 17. The only change in the Prototype category comes from the reduction in the tank capacity of the Acura ARX-05, lowered by three liters to 77 liters.

It was in GTLM that the new version of the BoP was expected, BMW Motorsport having complained in particular on the sidelines of the 24 Hours of Daytona. The new M8 GTLM will benefit from a revised and corrected boost and a tank capacity increasing from 93 to 95 liters in total.

Porsche profite d’une modification similaire, le réservoir de la 911 RSR atteignant 94 litres. Lauréate à Daytona, la Ford GT perd en revanche deux litres (de 91 à 89 litres). En GTD, la Mercedes-AMG GT3 loses five kilos and sees its flange reduced by one millimeter (35 mm). The Lamborghini Huracan GT3, which won the category last January, sees its flange increase by one millimeter (39 mm).
