In the lead for many hours, the No. 18 Audi R1 e-tron quatro made a mistake 7 hours from the finish. Marcel Fässler went into the gravel trap while trying to avoid a Corvette in distress at the Arnage bend. During the maneuver, the Swiss driver hit the wall of tires and lost part of his rear wing. The No. 1 Audi remains in the lead ahead of the No. 2.
