Le Mans – Webber improves the mark

Mark Webber improved the Test Day benchmark of the 84th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans en bouclant un tour en 3’22’’270 au volant de la Porsche 919 Hybrid n°1. L’Australien a devancé de 64 millièmes la voiture soeur n°2 de Marc Lieb. Les Audi R18 suivent à une demi-seconde tandis que la première Toyota TS050 Hybrid, la n°5 de Davidson-Buemi-Nakajima, remains less than a second from the best time.

THEAlpine A40 n°36 from Menezes-Richelmi-Stone remains at the top of the LMP2 with his time of 3'37''397. The No. 911 92 RSR of Makowiecki-Bamber-Bergmeister also remains in first place in the GTE Pro with a time of 3'55''691, but the Ferrari 488 GTE n°82 Risi Competizione of Fisichella-Vilander-Malucelli moved into second place, half a second behind the first Porsche in the category.
