The Acura DPi were the fastest in the first test session of theIMSA in Mid-Ohio. Ricky Taylor set a time of 1'13''601 in the No. 7, ahead of the sister car entrusted to Juan Pablo Montoya by almost half a second.
The Action Express Racing Cadillac DPi driven by Helio Castroneves was the closest to the Acura, still finishing one second behind the benchmark. Simon Trummer lifted the first Oreca 07 LMP2, the No. 85 from JDC Miller Motorsports, to fourth place.
