FP3 at Motorsport Park marked by Hawksworth crash

The last test session of theIMSA at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park was marked by the impressive exit of the track by Jack Hawksworth who hit the wall of tires at full speed at the wheel of the No. 3 15GT Racing Lexus RCF GT3 at the exit of turn No. 3. The Briton was unhurt, but the session was interrupted.

Stephen Simpson was the fastest in the session, posting a time of 1'09''142 at the wheel of the JDC-Miller Motorsports Oreca 07. Jordan Taylor was the closest with 53 thousandths behind the Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac DPi. Luis Felipe Derani completed the leading trio in the #22 ESM Nissan DPi.

Dirk Werner a été le plus rapide en GTLM avec un tour bouclé en 1’14’’799 au volant de la Porsche 911 RSR n°911 qui a devancé d’un demi-dixième la BMW M8 GTLM n°25 de Bill Auberlen.

Pato O'Ward was once again the fastest of the PCs with a time of 1'11''365 in the No. 38 of Performance Tech Motorsports. In GTD, it was Tristan Vautier who set the pace with a time of 1'16''636 on the Mercedes-AMG GT3 n°75 from SunEnergy1 Racing.
