Lucas Auer taken to hospital after his accident

Lucas Auer made a mistake during Free Practice 1 of the 24 Hours of Daytona after losing control of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 No. 57 from Winward Racing which ended its race in the wall, causing a red flag. The Austrian was then transported to a nearby hospital to be examined, the organization of the event indicated. Apart from back pain, the pilot is fine, a member of the team assured us. The damage was significant to the car which must start from pole position in the GTD category thanks to the performance of Philip Ellis during qualifying.
