The first stone of this new structure was laid this Monday, in the presence of Pierre Fillon, president of the ACO, Stéphane Le Foll, Mayor of Le Mans, Véronique Rivron, vice-president of the Departmental Council, Jean-Charles Florac, president of Virage 5, Jérôme Ansaldi, director of Adim Ouest and Stéphanie Ledoux, of the AW2 architecture firm. The objective is to build a four-star hotel with 104 rooms and suites, at the level of the Esses de la Forêt bends, where the Bugatti Circuit joins the Tertre Rouge to form the "grand circuit" of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The opening of this new complex is scheduled for 2027, and is part of a vast plan to revitalize the southern area of Le Mans. The Antarès area, which houses a sports and performance hall, as well as the Marie-Marvingt Stadium, as well as the 24 Hours of Le Mans golf course are two other projects that have already emerged in recent decades in the south of the Sarthe city. Guests staying at the hotel will be able to enjoy breathtaking views of the Bugatti Circuit and the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit all year round, while being only a stone's throw from the circuit itself during the various events that take place there.
"We are committed to building an establishment that reflects the excellence of Le Mans and its circuit, combining high-end comfort and environmental responsibility.", explained Jean-Charles Florac, president of the company Virage 5. “This hotel will create 70 sustainable jobs and strengthen the attractiveness of the area.” Pierre Fillon agrees with this: "I am delighted to see this project come to fruition. This hotel is fully in line with our desire to modernize and enrich our visitors' experience, while remaining faithful to our commitments to social and environmental responsibility, which are at the heart of the ACO's strategy."
